Warmer Wednesday.....

It's nice and warm here today so I decided to go for something summery:

The tiered dress was from Primark and was £5.  It was actually from their beach range but I really like it as an everyday dress.  The bangles were from Peacocks, ages ago.  I'll probably team the dress with some flat flip-flops when I go out later.

Not sure what we're up to today;  I might nip into town for a look round the charity shops.  At the moment my eleven year old is still in bed as if it's still the middle of the night, so it might be a bit of a task getting her out of the house today.......

Dressing for the weather.........

I had planned to wear a summery dress today but when I woke up to a downpour I decided to put some cropped skinny jeans underneath:

I've cropped my head off the picture as I'm having a seriously bad hair day today, lol.   I really love this dress;  it's actually by Cherokee from Tesco but it looks quite vintage I reckon.  I picked it up for £3.99 in a charity shop and I've worn it loads this summer.  The cropped skinnies underneath are by Primark but I got them at a boot sale for £1.

I also nipped into a couple of charity shops today and picked up this number:

It's by Principles and was £4;  I think it's ideal for autumn/winter to wear over skinny jeans or leggings, or with black opaque tights.  I prefer this look in winter rather than shorter tops, as I think it suits my figure more.  Must hunt out some cowboy-style boots to wear with this dress.......

Hello!

I'm totally new to blogging, but have been reading lots of the style blogs on here for ages, and thought it was time to start one of my own!

I'm Rachel, I'm 33 and live with my hubby and our 3 children; two girls aged 11 and 5, and baby boy who has just turned 1.

I really love making an effort each day with how I look;  obviously time and money are a bit of an issue, but luckily I am a charity shop/boot sale/Ebay/Primark addict so I manage to pull my looks together for not very much money!  I like to look a bit different and would rather wear vintage clothes than just dress as another Next clone.  Primark I love because the clothes have a fast turnover, they're very reasonably priced and our nearest Primark is 40 miles away, hence no one in our town has the same things!

We had a really busy weekend so I didn't get much chance to go scouring the Charity Shops and Boot Fairs, however I did nip into some in another town on Friday, when I took my eldest daughter to get kitted out in her uniform for her new school.  I managed to get a really funky dogtooth Primark tea dress for £4.50, which was a real bargain, and I've worn it twice this weekend and had lots of comments on it.

I will get my darling hubby to become my photographer and will post a picture of my outfit tomorrow.  Am hoping to have a quick scout round the local Charity Shops in the morning, kids permitting of course, so will also post photos of any bargains I find then.......
